Eight is Great!

Daesha had a birthday, shout hooray! Since eight is such a special birthday (old enough to be baptized a member of our church) we take the child out for dinner with just mom and dad. But first we took Daesha to the mall to get her ears pierced. She was so brave. She didn't cry at all, but her eyes went a little big.

We went to Smoky Bones and Daesha got an awesome steak and a huge chocolate tower cake for dessert. She ate about three bites of it and took the rest home to share.






Since we moved to our new house the kids have been asking to take a bath in our jetted tub. We told them it had to be for something special like their birthday. Daesha did not forget and had a luxurious bubble bath Saturday morning.

We had a family celebration with cake and ice cream on Saturday afternoon. We are so happy to have Daesha as a part of our family. She will be baptized next month when her grandparents can be here.
